Family Court Awareness Month

Updated: Nov 26, 2024

Join us in making Family Court Awareness Month a recognized movement in YOUR community! The family court system is falling short when it comes to safeguarding children. Prioritizing parental rights over child safety has left countless young lives vulnerable. The system designed to uphold the best interests of children is facing critical challenges that demand attention, dialogue, actionable solutions, and meaningful reform.

Family Court Awareness Month was founded in 2020 by Tina Swithin, creator of One Mom’s Battle, with the mission of highlighting systemic failures in family courts that endanger children. The inaugural year was marked by a powerful cross-country tour in collaboration with Sandra Ross of the California Protective Parents Association.

The tour began in California and concluded in North Carolina, with stops in seven major cities. Along the way, Tina Swithin engaged with media outlets, domestic violence advocates, family court professionals, and survivors of post-separation abuse, bringing critical attention to these urgent issues. "There can be no keener revelation of a society's soul than the

– Nelson Mandela
